Bluebell Cottage

Quarter of Ten, Torrin, Isle of Skye, IV49 9BA

Peaceful setting with stunning views of Red Cuillin
Bluebell Cottage, Torrin, is a stylish self catering timber cottage, with one bedroom, a spacious living/dining room/ kitchen and a bathroom with a great waterfall shower. A large picture window in the living room over looks the crofting township of Torrin and the fabulous Red Cuillin mountains. An absence of pollution will allow you to experience breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, starry, moonlit nights, or such simple and peaceful delights as sitting at the dining table watching the birds at the nut feeder.

The cottage is highly insulated to Scandinavian standards and triple glazed, ensuring warmth all year, even in the coldest of weather.

It is decorated throughout to a high standard, with an eclectic mix of modern, vintage and ethnic furnishings. Original paintings by Rupert Copping add a further personal touch.

The comfy king size bed will ensure a restful sleep and in the morning you can open the curtains and gaze out on the sky with its ever changing light and fantastic cloud formations.

The galley kitchen is all electric and has all you need if you wish to do some cooking. There is also a dishwasher and washer/ dryer. All cleaning materials are provided, plus an iron and ironing board in the hall cupboard.

A private garden, with a small grassy space, flowers, and comfortable chairs, completes the scenario of this cosy, welcoming cottage. And on a warm day the garden provides the perfect spot to relax or sunbathe.
Situated in the small crofting township of Torrin, Isle of Skye, 7 miles from Broadford, Bluebell Cottage is on the shores of Loch Slapin.

The cottage is ideally situated for scenic drives, boat trips, walks, and all manner of outdoor activities. Blaven, known as the black Cuillin and the most famous mountain on Skye, is a ten minute drive away. Elgol, eight miles, offers a spectacular view of the Cuillin mountain range and boat trips to Loch Coruisk.

Broadford contains all modern amenities, such as a supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, health center, and a hospital. From Broadford access to all other parts of Skye is straight forward.

Closer to the cottage, within a few minutes walk, there is a cafe - open April to October - a secluded beach, and any number of great walks, both long and short. Two of our favourites are the walk to Boreraig, a deserted village, and Camasunary, a bay in the heart of the Cuillins. Other more challenging climbing and scrambling routes are also on the cottage's doorstep.

Eagles, otters, seabirds are frequently spotted in the Torrin area and the larger local area. which is also one of Skye's richest for archeological sites and wild flora.
