The Chalet at Mondhuie sleeps up to five plus a baby and features an open plan living and kitchen area with a central log-burning stove, two bedrooms and full self-catering facilities including washing machine, tumble dryer and barbecue. Nature is right on the doorstep, with forest views from the stable door and regular sightings of red squirrels, deer and birds. From £550 for the Chalet per week.

The Bothy at Mondhuie sleeps four and offers a cosy combined living and kitchen area, two bedrooms and a characterful pot belly stove that heats the space quickly, with wood supplied. From £450 for the Bothy per week.

Both properties are well equipped with kitchens, shower rooms, Freesat TV, DVD players, linen and towels, creating a comfortable base for a technology-light stay. There are portable plug in heaters available in every room, along with the Wood Burners, but they are not centrally heated.
