Monks Retreat Holiday Cottages in Buxton are sympathetically converted barns providing self catering accommodation on our family run farm, standing 900 ft above sea level. Abbots Abode sleeps 6, Friars Folly sleeps 4, Monks Memories sleeps 2.

All 3 cottages are centrally heated throughout and to complete the cosy ambience in the lounges are electric flame effect iron stoves, all have comfy sofas TV and DVD ( with extensive range to borrow). Bath with shower over Fully equipped Kitchen with full size electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Separate laundry room.

The cottages are south facing so benefiting from all day sunshine. There are extensive terraced gardens to the front of the cottages with elevated views and quiet corners to sit.

Monks Retreat Holiday Cottages are peacefully situated overlooking Millers Dale and Monks Dale in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of the Peak District with all it has to offer on your doorstep.

A 300 yard stroll down a leafy lane brings you to our local, the Anglers Rest pub nestling by the beautiful river. You can sit here with a pint or a glass of wine and a good meal and watch the trout jumping and water fowl play in the perfect setting.

Tideswell with its many hidden alleyways, cafes, traditional shops and magnificent 'Cathedral of the Peak' is just 2 miles away.

Within easy driving distance of Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock . Any number of breath taking walks from your doorstep.
