You are always welcome at Hendersyde, our family farm, which lies quietly between The River Tweed and Eden Water, downstream from the delightful market town of Kelso in The Scottish Borders. We have enjoyed caring for the farm and welcoming guests to Hendersyde and The Borders for over thirty years.

We offer three, four star, properties, five minutes from Kelso ...

Millsyde is all on one level, standing above the Eden Water, downstream from Ednam. It's a peaceful spot where views look over the farm to the surrounding woodland.

West Cottage and Southsyde are traditional farm cottages standing at the end of their own lane, on top of the first ridge above the River Tweed, their views reach over the valley to The Cheviot Hills in Northumberland National Park.

Each cottage has its own page, displaying photos, current availability and pricing, on our own Hendersyde website. The link is on the right of this short summary.

In a nutshell...

Millsyde sleeps up to six people in three double bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room. The twin, or double, bedrooms share the family bathroom. There is lots of room to gather in the open plan kitchen and sitting room.

We welcome well behaved dogs in Millsyde, asking that they stay in the kitchen and utility room. The garden wraps right round the cottage but is not fully fenced. Full details are on our Hendersyde website.

There is more room to relax on the terrace outside the front door. The double garage is home to the full-size table tennis table, the garden provides challenging inclines for croquet!

West Cottage and Southsyde are ideal for a couple (there is a discount if you only use one bedroom) or for up to four people in a double and twin bedroom.

The cottages are cosy throughout the year with central heating and an open fire. The well-equipped kitchen leads through to the sitting room and downstairs bathroom, with a shower over the bath. Each cottage has an enclosed garden with lots of walks from the doorstep.

Hendersyde is our family farm, which lies between The River Tweed and Eden Water, down stream from delightful Kelso, in the beautiful Border Country.

Walking across Hendersyde farm you might catch a glimpse of otter by the waterside, deer wandering between the woods, or the flash of salmon in The River Tweed. You will certainly see and hear the birds singing! We delight in, and encourage the wildlife and birds to flourish. Nest boxes are popular homes for Barn Owls, often seen hunting at dawn and dusk.

Kelso, our delightful, vibrant market town, is just a couple of miles upstream from Hendersyde Farm Holiday Cottages. You can walk into town, along the farm road shared with Ferneyhill Farm, passing The Thomson Monument, Kelso Races and Golf Course on your way. Kelso has to be one of the most picturesque in Scotland! Sir Walter Scott certainly thought it "the most beautiful, if not the most romantic village in Scotland"
