Blacksmith's Cottage in Backworth was built in 1832, this traditional detached stone cottage with a walled garden sleeps 6.
Formerly the home of the village blacksmith, but is now known as The Cottage. This 'home from home' has been recently renovated to a high standard to offer a cosy and comfortable with off road parking for 2 cars.
As you enter through the front door into the hallway, to one side is a cosy lounge with two sofas and a fantastic log burning stove for those cooler evenings and access to the walled kitchen garden.
To the left of the hallway is the dining room which comfortably seats 6 people, leading onto the new and well equipped kitchen with all you need for your self catering holiday, including a split oven/ grill and separate gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a washroom off the kitchen, as well as additional access to the walled kitchen garden.
The traditional staircase leads up to the large master bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and set of drawers. The landing leads to two further bedrooms, each with double beds. The end bedroom also has an en-suite shower, wash basin and WC. The family bathroom is equipped with a shower/bath, wash basin and WC.

Blacksmith's Cottage is situated in a small, friendly village with a convenience store a short walk away and larger shopping facilities a short drive.
The beach is within easy access by car (7km), as is Newcastle city centre (16km).
If you're keen to explore further, then take a short drive north to find yourself in beautiful, rural Northumberland, popular with walkers and nature-lovers.
Also in the village itself, Backworth Hall has its own golf club and allows visitors to play during the week, whilst also offering lunch, coffee or a pint.
