Simpson's Boatyard has been owned by the Simpson family since taking over Southgate's in 1945. In recent years it has been Stalham Yacht Services and Moonfleet Marine. The yard is now managed by the 2nd and 3rd generations of the Simpson family. They were born and grew up on the Boatyard and Staithe and it has provided them with an idyllic childhood and unique life, the likes of which only Arthur Ransome could have written. They are very proud to be maintaining a special piece of Norfolk Broads history and wish to be able to provide memorable holidays and exemplary marine services for all their customers and visitors for generations to come.
Halcyon, Stalham is situated in a pleasant mooring adjacent to the main boatyard, near the upper reaches of the River Ant and Barton Broad.

The centre of Stalham is 10 mins walk from pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are small shops close by and a large Tesco supermarket.

Halcyon is within 15 mins from the sea at Sea Palling and Happisburgh. There are some lovely walks form the boatyard and for a more relaxing day why not hire one of our day boats for a trip up the river Ant.
