Birchcroft-Hideaway, Ferndown is a self catering holiday cottage [sleeps 8 plus 2 babies in 4 bedrooms with ground floor bedrooms] nestles in 1 acre of woodlands but is only 6 miles from the golden sandy beaches of Bournemouth with cinemas, nightclubs and great shopping. From the lounge terrace you look down the Stour valley with Dorset lakes in the distance, where you can see spectacular sunsets while sipping a glass of wine, etc. In the front garden is a children's playhouse complete with toy kitchen, table and chairs, dartboard and football table.

We are M2 rated and can supply a copy of our Access Statement on request. We have a ramp to the front door, one disabilities bedroom with electric bed to help you get up, a ground floor wet-room, folding wheelchair to use, bed risers, toilet seat risers, perching stool, commode, folding walker, bed grab rail, grab rails in bathrooms, armed dining room chair and electric armchair in the lounge that helps you to stand up. H1 rated for hearing - we have a loop system and TV loop system in lounge V1 rated for visual - we have visual paint differences on doorways and flashing smoke alarms. We also have a vibrating pillow that can be requested.

Please note we have now installed an electric hospital style 4' bed and 1 single electric bed in room 2, the downstairs twin room. Also we had added a second electric stand-up chair in the lounge. We are always trying to increase our accessibility facilities
