The Old Coach House self catering located in Aldwark, a two bedroomed cottage built around 1686 is well equipped and tastefully modernised. On the Ground floor is a large dining/kitchen with automatic washing machine. Electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. The cosy lounge has an open fire/ log burner, and TV / Freeview. Wooden beams, colour television, video and modern music centre.

One the first floor is one double bedroom, one with full size bunk beds which can be used as 2 singles. Freeview TV in bedroom. The cottage sleeps 6 people but we also have a full size temporary bed for an extra person if needed, and double sofa bed in lounge. A new fully equipped bathroom with shower over the bath is also on the first floor.

The cottage has oil fired central heating throughout, at no extra cost. We have ample parking spaces in the enclosed Coach House yard, surrounded by lawned gardens and a childrens play area and sand pit. At the back of the cottage there is a private garden overlooking open fields including a two and a half acre paddock. Equipped with patio, barbecue and garden furniture. Fresh milk, eggs, home-made bread and cakes are available as well as a warm welcome from Rosy who will meet you on your arrival with the door key.

The Old Coach House is set in the quiet picturesque village of Aldwark. The cottage is maintained to a high standard with the grading of 5 Stars on Tripadvisor (2016), and has been accepted by the Derbyshire Dales Accommodation Guide.

The Peak District offers many interesting places to visit. Matlock, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Buxton are only a short drive away.
Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the new Peak Village at Rowsley, are all nearby in the Peak National Park. Explore the local villages of Winster, Tissington, Castleton, Eyam.Matlock Bath with its Mining Museum and Crich Tramway Museum are worth visiting. Carsington Water, Alton Towers and Gulliver's Kingdom are just a short drive away.
