Stennack Cottage, on the Penwith Peninsula, is set back from the stunning Cornish coastal road that runs from St Ives to Lands End.

The coastline here is wild and beautiful with crashing waves, old engine houses and towering chimneys. Perhaps the most spectacular view is the iconic Two Crowns perched on the cliffs at Botallack Head, a ten minute drive or wonderful walk away. This is Poldark country!

There are lovely sandy beaches at Sennen, Porthcurno and St Ives, as well as secluded Portheras Cove which is just a twenty minute walk over the fields from the cottage. The perfect place for a picnic, seals can often be spotted here.

The Penwith Peninsula is rich in prehistoric monuments, Bronze Age field systems and lots more. You can walk up to Chun Quoit which is on the moor behind the cottage, or take off along the coastal footpath in either direction. The walking is excellent here.

A must do, is a trip on the open top bus - it stops in Pendeen, then sets off around the peninsula. You can alight anywhere, then pick it up later.

However you choose to spend your holiday, Cornwall is a beautiful place.
