Combe Martin's sheltered beach is a haven for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. These can be hired in the village, close to the beach. Dolphins and seals can often be found in the bay, making a very special occasion for those on the water. The village has a selection of accommodation, from friendly B&B's, self catering cottages, camping and glamping sites and holiday parks. Near the beach are small shops, cafes and pubs. The South West Coast Path National Trail passes through the village.
Combe Martin is on the western edge of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty starts in the bay and goes around to the Cornish border.
