These remarkable monuments provide a fascinating insight into Ireland's Neolithic communities and their burial traditions, making Carrowmore an essential destination for anyone interested in archaeology, history and ancient Ireland.
Visitors begin their experience at the Visitor Centre, where informative displays explain the history, archaeology and significance of the site before joining a guided tour of the monuments. Knowledgeable guides bring the landscape to life by explaining how the tombs were constructed and the important role they played in prehistoric society.
