Moorview House Bed & Breakfast is only 3 miles from Bideford, also known as the "Little White Town", which is situated on the River Torridge.
In the other direction, you have the pretty town of Great Torrington which is also home to The Royal Horticultural Society's Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Glass and the 1646 civil war heritage Center.
For walkers and cyclists there are many country lanes to explore plus we are close to the famous Tarka Trail which offers 180 miles of walks/cycle routes with stunning scenery.
For keen fishermen, we have the 1.5 acre lake at Gammaton - a first class mixed fishery, within 2 minutes walk where day passes can be purchased.
For surfers we are within a short drive to the popular surfing spots of Westward Ho!, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough Sands.
There are 2 local pubs, The Hunters Inn and The Cydre Presse within a few minutes drive and an array of restaurants and bars in nearby Bideford. There is a farm shop at the end of the lane which offers a full range of local produce.
The market town of Barnstaple with its listed Pannier market is within a scenic 20-minute drive. The magical unspoilt island of Lundy can be reached by ferry from Bideford.
