Set in the heart of the Welsh Marches and with stunning views towards the Black Mountains, the gardens have spectacular spring flowers and autumn colour. Covering over 70 acres, Hergest Croft Gardens has been created by five generations of the Banks family and include over 5,000 rare plants, trees and shrubs. Gorgeous flower borders, an old fashioned Kitchen Garden, Azalea Garden, Maple Grove and Park Wood, the gardens hold the National Collections of maples and birches, plus over 80 champion trees.

Whether you are a keen gardener in search of inspiration, a dedicated dendrologist, discerning botanist or just looking for a quiet place to stroll, visiting this unique and atmospheric garden is a truly memorable experience.

Admission £8, accompanied children under 16 free. Dogs on leads are welcome.

The gardens will open again weekends only in March 2023 and daily from 1st April 2023.

Free car parking. Gift shop, and unusual trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants for sale.

Maples Tearoom will reopen on January 17th 2023, serving delicious home-cooked light lunches and teas.

Many areas are accessible to wheelchairs.
