Possibly the most Welsh of all holiday areas in Wales with most of its residents continuing to speak the Welsh language. In Aberystwyth there is the National Library of Wales which is one of Britains six copyright libraries and specialises in Welsh and Celtic literature. At Eglwysfach there is a RSPB Reserve, laying at the head of the Dyfi estuary this grazed saltmarch is bordered by freshwater marsh and some remnant peat bogs.Here can be spied Redstarts, wood warblers, nut hatchers, buzzards, kestrals and peregrines can be seen all year round. Badgers and polecats also live here. For children a day out at the Felinwynt Rainforest and Butterfly Centre is a must, or maybe take a boat trip and go dolphin watching off Newquay.
