Llwyn Derw is a Grade 2 listed Arts and Craft period house which is well preserved with good interior features, tastefully refurbished with modern facilities. The features include an impressive oak stair well hall and an unusual fireplace with panelled back and copper art nouveau details in the breakfast room. The house is detached and situated amongst mature oak trees with woodland walks and panoramic views of the sea, Harlech castle and the Rhinogydd mountains. There is a gravelled parking area for three cars and safe parking on the lane leading to the house.
Location
It is situated approximately half a mile (1km) from the busy harbour town of Porthmadog which boasts over thirty eating establishments. This comfortable bed & breakfast is ideally situated for exploring North Wales. Local attractions include: Ffestiniog Railway (1km), a fine beach at Black Rock Sands and Golf links (2km) and the Italianate village of Portmeirion. Directions: From the main street in Porthmadog, take the road next to Woolworths signposted for Black Rock/Morfa Bychan. Just after you see the Y junction for Borth y Gest on your left, Llwyn Derw ison the right hand side (half mile from Woolworths).
