Description
Open year round. Has five bedrooms, each with ensuite. Two of the bedrooms have their own patio area. Is well recommended with a top rating on Trip Advisor. Warm, welcoming, sincere hospitality is a priority at Castlecroft. Perched immediately below Stirling Castle. Unrivalled views to the scenic north-west. Has a large guest lounge with windows facing 3 scenic directions. Outdoor seating and gardens for enjoying the view. Enjoys a beautiful quiet location with public paths and walks right on the doorstep including a ten minute walk on a public path into Stirling town centre with the castle woods on one side and farmland, including the King's Knot, on the other. Approximately five min drive from Stirling University. For our breakfasts we use only top quality fresh products from local Scottish farms and home made bread. Ample on-site free parking. Guest internet access and free wireless high speed internet connection. All our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, TV's, radio alarm clocks, bedside lighting, free wifi internet access and coffee/tea making facilities. The guest lounge is a large, bright, beautiful room with cozy seating areas; a perfect spot to relax after a busy day and enjoy the panoramic views, including the hills and munroes of the Trossachs, the King's golf course and parts of Stirling castle which is just above us. Castlecroft is built on the site of the old castle stables.
Location
Stirling is a fascinating city with many attractions of its own. Ranging from the medieval (Stirling Castle) to the Victorian (Old Town Jail) to the modern day (Thistles Shopping Centre), there is plenty to do for everyone. Not only is Stirling a perfect city to visit within itself, it can also act as a perfect "base" for visiting the rest of Scotland. It has excellent rail links to Edinbrugh, Glasgow and Perth, and good road links to most parts of Scotland. This makes it easy to see many attractions around Scotland, without having to move around and stay in a different place every night.
